On behalf of the Friends of Hampton
Roads, Inc., it is indeed an honor
and pleasure to have the opportunity to serve as President of such
a
dynamic group of hard working professional women in our community.
I'd like to thank each and every one
of you for your support and for
helping to make our organization a success! It is because of
your
continued support that we are able to make a difference in the
lives of
our college bound students. With your assistance, we have
been able
to raise over $454,000 in scholarships for well-deserving students.
"The purpose of "Friends" is to
provide service to the community,
exemplify standards of positive sisterhood, and promote excellence
to
our youth." We strive to fulfill that purpose through our
various projects
such as Rites of Passage, Scholarship Fundraiser Ball,
Thanksgiving and Christmas community activities, and Scholarship
Awards Ceremonies.
We are humbled and most appreciative
of your continued support.
Without you we could not do what we do. We sincerely hope that you
enjoy the activities that have been planned for our current year
's annual Scholarship Fundraiser Ball and that you take pride in
knowing that you
are truly helping us to make a difference in the lives of our
youth. From
